Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Global Talent Acquisition, the
Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager will be a key member of the Talent
Acquisition team, responsible for working together with the
business to hire top talent. The successful candidate will build
relationships and work closely with hiring managers to determine
sourcing strategy, obtain position requirements and compensation as
well as ensuring that job descriptions are updated.
The role will serve as a primary source of Talent Acquisition
strategy advice, consultation, and education to line management on
recruitment best practices. The function of this role is to
identify qualified candidates and manage the process from position
opening through offer acceptance. The Recruiter will utilize their
influencing, interpersonal, selling and closing skills to convince
candidates to accept Li-Cycle opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Developing holistic talent attraction and pipeline strategies to
solve for business talent needs
Drive both proactive and reactive talent identification
Provide subject matter expertise on competitive landscape, best
practices, industry trends as it relates to sourcing, identifying,
screening, courting, and closing talent
Function as a talent advisor, partnering closely with functional
line managers and leaders on all internal and external recruitment
and selection processes
Provide process management and facilitation oversight on talent
assessment and selection practices
Provide leadership on key talent acquisition projects (such as
Social Media strategy development and diversity targeted
outreach)
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Must have technical recruiting experience, preferably chemical,
R&D or mining industry
Prior experience working as part of a talent acquisition team,
acting in a talent advisory capacity
Strong process management and facilitation skills
Highly tuned interpersonal skills
Strong ability to read others and understand candidate drives and
motivations
Very responsive and client focused
Demonstrated learning agility, strategic agility, and ability to
deal with ambiguity.
Adept at influencing
Ability to understand the business agenda, make recommendations to
Human Resources and stakeholders on solutions to specific
recruiting and retention challenges as needed
Excellent communication and presentation skills
