Open Executive Director role in unique city location! Job Description Under the general direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Executive Director is accountable for the successful management of the Maplewood Family Branch and Innovation Square. The Executive Director is responsible for revenue growth, fiscal management, financial development, facility management, hiring, training and supervision of staff of both facilities. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed. Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and at least seven years' YMCA experience or equivalent non-profit management experience.
• At least five years' experience in a supervisory role with skills in recruiting, training and staff management.
• Experience delivering impactful programs in an urban environment.
• Must be self-motivated, hands on team leader with strong communications, networking and strong collaboration skills.
• High level of attention to detail and quality of programming, service and facilities.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage several projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Polished, professional demeanor with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in driving revenue and managing expenses.
• Experience in fundraising and individual gift solicitation and cultivation.
• Must be able to travel to multiple locations.
• Must have current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. Essential Functions
  • Overall responsibility for Maplewood Family branch and Innovation Square.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, supervision, and continued development of all staff under positions umbrella. Provide leadership and support to department leadership.
  • As necessary, act as a liaison between member and program regarding parent or participant concerns and work as the key leader to assure that a safe, fun and quality program is provided in all areas.
  • Responsible for financial development of Annual Campaign.
  • Responsible for facilitating revenue growth and overall enhancement and increase of programs and services within the service area.
  • Responsible for the overall facility appearance, grounds, and related equipment.
  • Accountable for budget development and management. Ensures a strong fiscal position and appropriate resource allocation.
  • Ensures programs and services are in accordance with the policies, values, and standards established by the Association and other involved third-party funders.
  • Ensures all program operations are consistent with Association procedures, including maintenance, emergency, accident, purchasing, personnel, and accounting systems.
  • Implements programs that identify safety, quality, impact, and excellent customer service as top priorities.
  • Collaborates with YMCA Community Services to ensure the successful delivery of programs within the branch.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with community agencies, corporations, and potential donors.
  • Work with branch volunteers as required. Participates in all Branch Committee meetings as necessary.
