Jamestown Container, one of the largest independent manufacturers of corrugated products and distributor of packaging supplies in the northeastern United States, is looking to add a Regional General Manager--to its team.This position reports to the President of our Corrugated Packaging Group and will be based in Rochester NY, with responsibility for our Rochester and Lyons NY locations.Our Regional General Manager is responsible for the P&L performance of the Region, directing all aspects of the operations teams at both locations.--In addition to maximizing the financial, manufacturing and quality performance of the Region, this person ensures a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner effectively working with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors/managers and all other employees.Applicants should have a long history of achievements in leading cross functional departments in a multi-plant manufacturing organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:* Maintain a safe, clean and positive work environment for all employees and customers.* Responsible for the overall P&L results which includes cost saving initiatives and growth strategies.* Lead the operations team to produce low cost quality products while maximizing profit, in accordance with annual budgets. * Ensure the adherence to ISO 9001 procedures and requirements, including active participation in the internal and external audits for these locations.* Ensure compliance with regard to regulatory agency requirements.* Work closely with Sales Management to analyze, pursue and convert new opportunities.* Promote the organization within the local community and the industry.* Assist in employee relations.QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university.* Minimum of 10 years of corrugated industry experience having worked with multiple functional areas such as Design, Customer Service, Sales and Manufacturing in a senior leadership role.* Experience with multiple manufacturing locations preferred.* Strong management/leadership skills with the ability to drive and embrace change.* Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and accountability.About Jamestown Container CompaniesFounded in 1956, Jamestown Container Companies is a privately owned company that has earned a reputation as an innovative, independent provider of high-quality corrugated products, consumer point of purchase displays, packaging supplies and fulfillment services for customers in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and southern Ontario.
