Job Description Job Description Description: The Manufacturing
Engineer supports the ongoing production of complex
electro-mechanical products and provides hands-on technical support
for manufacturing operations, engineering changes, and new product
introduction. This role plays a critical part in improving
manufacturing processes, resolving production issues, and ensuring
products meet quality, performance, and customer requirements. What
You'll Do Provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing
teams, including troubleshooting production issues, clarifying
product design intent, and supporting training and procedure
updates. Create, develop, maintain, and continuously improve
standardized manufacturing processes, procedures, and work
instructions using the Engineering Change Notification (ECN)
process. Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods by applying
knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes,
tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, and quality
standards. Perform engineering calculations, data analysis, and
detailed technical reporting to support manufacturing decisions and
product acceptance. Compile and evaluate test data; develop,
document, and release manufacturing processes for new or improved
products. Author and revise assembly work instructions,
manufacturing routers, fixtures, jigs, and travelers to improve
efficiency and accuracy. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve
critical manufacturing and production issues, including
participation in Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.
Identify and implement new processes and control mechanisms to
improve product quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
Evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies and best practices for
potential application. Train manufacturing personnel on new or
updated assembly processes and work instructions. Perform and
review product testing to validate performance characteristics and
support customer acceptance. Design, build, test, and analyze
prototype analog circuits as required. Support the development of
Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing routers. Collaborate
with procurement, sales, and production teams to review material
requirements, production documentation, and manufacturing
readiness. Provide backup support for manufacturing assembly and
test personnel as needed. Participate in internal and external
reviews, audits, and occasional on-site visits. Physical
Requirements & Work Environment Frequent use of computers and
standard office equipment. Frequent movement throughout office and
manufacturing environments. Ability to remain stationary for
extended periods as required. Occasional lifting and positioning of
parts weighing up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifting of office materials
weighing up to 10 lbs. Requirements: What You'll Bring Education &
Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical,
Electrical, Manufacturing, or related discipline) or equivalent
experience . Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering
experience ; aerospace or electronics manufacturing experience
preferred. Experience planning assembly operations and writing
detailed shop-floor routings and work instructions. Technical
Skills & Knowledge Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems,
instrumentation, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and
interpret mechanical and electrical assembly drawings, schematics,
and wiring diagrams. Experience with dimensional stack-up analysis
and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) . Proficiency
with AutoCAD and SolidWorks (3D modeling) . Proficiency with
Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with industry technical standards, including NASA,
military, and EEE part selection specifications . Knowledge of
manufacturing best practices, material specifications, and basic
statistical analysis. Hands-on experience with soldering, welding,
and electro-mechanical assembly operations preferred. Core
Competencies Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
with strong critical-thinking ability. Strong written and verbal
communication skills, with the ability to convey technical
information clearly. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to
manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven team player who can
work effectively across all levels of the organization. Strong
mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and technical writing
ability. Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing
environments.
