Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Network
Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for
someone with a strong background in network management, as well as
experience in systems administration, particularly with Microsoft
Office tools and other enterprise software. Additionally,
experience with Hyper-V, VMware (ESX, ESXi), Microsoft 365 (M365),
and VoIP systems is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will help
ensure the performance, security, and reliability of our network
infrastructure and IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain
network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls,
VPNs, and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance,
security, and reliability.
Virtualization Support: Administer and support VMware environments
(ESX, ESXi) and Hyper-V platforms to ensure efficient management of
virtualized infrastructure and resources.
Network Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting
and support for network issues, both on-site and remotely,
including diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues,
bandwidth problems, and hardware/software malfunctions.
Systems Administration: Assist with the management of Windows-based
servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other critical systems,
ensuring they align with the organization's networking needs.
Cloud and M365 Administration: Manage and support Microsoft 365
environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint,
ensuring seamless integration with the organization's network and
systems.
Security Management: Implement and monitor network security
protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion
detection/prevention systems, and other cybersecurity measures.
VoIP Support: Assist with the deployment, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of VoIP systems to ensure reliable communication
across the organization.
Monitoring & Reporting: Use monitoring tools to track the health of
the network and systems, identifying potential risks and
performance bottlenecks. Prepare regular reports on network
performance, security, and usage trends.
Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with other IT staff,
including system administrators, to ensure integration between
network infrastructure and enterprise systems. Document network
configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
Microsoft Office Support: Assist with the integration and
optimization of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook) across the organization, troubleshooting issues and
ensuring smooth operation in networked environments.
User Support & Training: Provide technical support to end-users
regarding network and systems-related issues, including
troubleshooting connectivity problems, VPN access, and basic
systems administration tasks.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a
similar IT role.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook) in an enterprise environment.
Familiarity with Microsoft Server environments (Windows Server,
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.) is preferred.
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware (ESX, ESXi)
or Hyper-V.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (M365) administration is a
plus.
Experience managing and troubleshooting VoIP systems is highly
desirable.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS,
DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, etc.
Hands-on experience with network equipment (routers, switches,
firewalls, wireless access points).
Knowledge of network security practices, including VPNs, firewalls,
and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance
analysis.
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESX, ESXi,
Hyper-V).
Basic to intermediate experience in systems administration in a
Microsoft-based environment (Windows Server, Active Directory).
Experience with VoIP systems and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams,
SharePoint).
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
CompTIA Network+
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or other Microsoft
certifications
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or
equivalent security certifications
Skills & Attributes:
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think
analytically and troubleshoot complex network and system
issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to
effectively interact with internal teams and end-users.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment.

resolving issues.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage
multiple priorities effectively.
