Staff Hardware Engineer--Rochester, NY - US (Hybrid)Pay Range: $83,000 - $121,000 annuallyThe Role:--D3 is seeking a Staff Hardware Engineer with a strong electronics design and development background. They will work as part of a team that supports the design, development, test, and integration of complex, embedded hardware/software systems.--A Staff Hardware Engineer is a master expert in electronics design and development. They develop solutions to highly complex problems and are seen as a technical leader and mentor in the company.--The Responsibilities:--Comprehensive understanding of circuit board design for mix signal applications like power design along with highspeed interface design for SoC and high-performance FPGAs.--Play a key role in all phases of the product development cycle which includes requirement/definition, design and development, verification (such as unit tests) and traceability matrix, and design transfer to production (DFM/DFT).--Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles in both analog and digital domains with the ability to leverage this understanding to quickly isolate issues and faults.--Conduct and oversee board designs, design reviews, testing, and debugging--Provide technical direction and leadership in a non-supervisory capacity for complex engineering projects--The Right Person Will Have:--Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering discipline along with 12+ years of directly related experience and/or equivalent combination.--Demonstrated subject matter expertise.--Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering Preferred.--Experience with professional PCB Design Tools (OrCAD, Altium, Mentor Graphics)--Experience with troubleshooting boards and performing board reworks--Experience with block diagram architecture design--Experience with writing design and system requirments for a design--The Benefits:--Competitive total compensation--Medical and dental coverage--Employer paid basic life, short-term disability, and identity theft protection--Voluntary vision, life, long-term disability, accident, and critical illness coverage--Simple IRA retirement contribution--Paid holidays, time-off, and sick time--Tuition assistance and employer paid professional development--Flexible work schedules--Remote opportunities available--Unlimited snacks and drinks in the breakroom--Employer sponsored social events----The Company:--Since our founding in 1999, D3 has driven innovation in high-performance embedded systems development.
