to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Film Manufacturing
Engineer. The Film Manufacturing Engineer will provide direct Line
Engineering oversight of Film Coating equipment and supporting
systems to efficiently maintain and reliably operate the
manufacturing equipment on site. Strong focus will be on supporting
reliability and overall coating equipment effectiveness projects in
Manufacturing. In this position you will work in a cross-functional
team reporting to the Engineering Manager with direct
responsibility for engineering efforts within a specified
manufacturing department. This position directly interfaces with
operations and maintenance in day-to-day troubleshooting, repair,
and upgrades to process equipment. Successful candidate will play a
vital role in the overall success of Operations. The position
requires assessment and control of documentation and performance
metrics, and attainment of productivity and cost objectives in
daily operation and maintenance of all equipment in assigned areas.
Position is to continuously assess general condition and Validated
readiness of critical assets required to deliver business
priorities without interruption. Position has responsibility to
deliver high quality, safe, compliant, cost effective equipment
processes.This position is in Rochester, NY.The
ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop preventive and predictive
maintenance to maximize uptime and reduce maintenance costs while
improving reliability, quality, productivity, and safety
results.Initiate and facilitate continuous improvement Lean
activities.Exercises independent judgement in selecting methods,
techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on new
assignments.Formulates strategies for the development of programs
that bring new and improved project management and engineering
technology into the company.Makes decisions and recommendations
that lead to overall company objectives and have a long-term impact
on program schedules.Develops ingenious technical solutions to
complex problems and provides guidance and direction to lower level
engineers.Leads the successful completion of major and technically
complex projects.Leads and/or contributes to the completion of
specific programs and projects by ensuring quality of data
collection and analysis, summary and interpretation of
results.Prepares reports, summaries and needed capital aCAR
protocols by applying an extensive operating knowledge of basic to
advanced engineering principles, theories, concepts and
techniques.Must be competent to plan, analyze, review and implement
assignment without appreciable guidanceDevelop and maintain strong
lines of communication across departments to achieve plant
maintenance and reliability goals.Monitor daily operations,
troubleshoot, assist repair and upgrade of process equipment on the
production floor.Identify and develop preventive and predictive
maintenance to maximize uptime and reduce maintenance costs while
improving reliability, quality, productivity, and safety
results.Author and revise controlled manufacturing documentation
per ISO9000 standards.Design, develop and execute capital equipment
upgrades as required.Develop and maintain effective lines of
communication across departments to achieve plant maintenance and
reliability goals.The IndividualRequired:BS with min 10 years
experience or MS with up to 3 years experience.Experience in GMP
compliance and delivering requirements, 3 or more years engineering
experience in manufacturing.Required Travel- No specific travel
required, no more than 5% expected.Key Working

work environment characteristics are representative of a
manufacturing, laboratory, and warehouse environment and include
handling of viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous
chemicals, as well as infectious or potentially infectious bodily
fluids, tissues, and samples. Up to 75% of the time you will be,
standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time. Ability
to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible work hours to meet project
