Description: Job Title: Specialist-Test Electrical Engineer Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Code: L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Specialist Test Electrical Engineer to join our Test Engineering team. This position will be based at our Rochester facility.Position Overview:

• This person will contribute to the company's success as a Test Electrical Engineer by leveraging their Experience in digital, analog, and RF circuitry design/troubleshooting and participate in managing performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters
• This role will report directly to Senior Manager of the Operation Test Engineering team and is responsible for the success of Driving continuous improvement efforts and standard work through all development teams.Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems
  • Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems
  • Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio equipment performance
  • Create test strategies and specifications for new and revised assemblies
  • Prepare test and diagnostic software, design test fixtures, complete test procedures for new and existing products
  • Develop, debug, optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
  • Document test hardware and software using computer based tools
  • Instruct technicians in the completion of test requirements as described above
  • Ensures production goals & metrics are met from a test perspective
  • Create/Update test station documentation items such as MTP's, Station BOM's, AMR's, and TSW's.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
