About us:Polyshot Corporation, a manufacturer of hot runner systems for the plastic and pet treat industries is seeking an experienced or entry level Design Engineer for their Rochester operations.The Company offers competitive wages and benefits including employee discounts, company matched 401(k), Medical Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Leave and Paid Holidays.Summary: Develop and design hot runner systems for the plastic injection molding industryEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Design and engineer Polyshot Hot Runner systems.Coordinates with customers to meet their requirements.Involved in R&D of new productsConfers with research and other engineering personnel and prepares design modifications as required.Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses.Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks. Solidworks experience a plus.Works with shop issuing prints, files for proper machining of product.Issues B.O.M to purchasing so items for jobs may be ordered.Program and operates 3d printers.

A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Solid Works Design software and Excel Spreadsheet software.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
