Job Description:

The Canisteo-Greenwood School District has an immediate opening for a 6th grade Elementary Teacher. The primary purpose of this position is responsible to the Principal for effective teaching subjects or grades as qualified and appointed to teach as well as responsible for the safety and welfare of the students in his/her class. Must also adapt and implement a program of studies suitable to the needs of the students and consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the school.Candidate must hold NYS Certification in Elementary Education. Have experience with The NYS Learning Standards. Have knowledge of Standards-Based Classroom instruction. Be Committed to collegiality and collaboration with peers within a Professional Learning Community. Demonstrate unquestionable integrity and a firm belief in the worth and potential of all students. Have experience with practices associated with an RTI approach to learning.
