02/10/2023Job ID:R0150415As a Senior Financial Analyst at Wegmans,
you will prepare various consolidated companywide financial reports
on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and assist in the month
end closing process by recording journal entries, processing
multiple expense allocations, analyzing results, and reconciling
accounts. You will also participate heavily in the Annual Budgeting
process, working cross-functionally with business owners across the
company.What will I do?
- Compile various Financial Reports (using Lawson General Ledger,
Excel and Essbase) that accurately reflect the financial position
of Wegmans Food Markets
- Coordinate with cross functional team members the compilation,
review, and publication of Wegmans' Annual Report
- Assist in compiling budgets for specific accounts as well as
administrative and support centers
- Perform Monthly Closing tasks such as allocations and analysis
of Benefit Accounts and various other expenses lines
- Assist individuals in analyzing their expense centers for
budgeting purposes and to close out their centers each month
- Research, analyze and identify the causes of variances,
recommending ways to prevent errors and apply additional controls
to processes and procedures
- Coordinate external Annual Audit and Annual Report process
- Coordinate the testing and certification of MORIS upgrades and
Essbase databases
- Complete special projects and compile various ad hoc reports
for the department and Controller as requestedRequired
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of accounting experience with various financial
statements/schedules at a leadership level
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with Pivot
Tables
