Job Summary:

Coopervision is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in our Victor, NY office. The Sr Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the US Marketing, Global MiSight, and Global Sales and Marketing (GSM) commercial business teams in all financial matters. You will be tasked with budgeting, forecasting and reporting of actual results. Partnering closely with business unit stake holders to help bring the financials to life. Candidate must be extremely detail oriented, highly organized, and bring experience interacting with senior members of management

What you will do:

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of operating results to finance and commercial management teams
  • Complete annual functional budgets, as well as quarterly forecast updates. This includes the detailed planning of (but not limited to): Headcount and related costs (including T&E) Program Spend Support (Sales & Marketing Spend) CapEx / Depreciation (where applicable)
  • Review general ledger activity to ensure financial results are prepared in accordance with US GAAP, and actively works with other Finance departments to ensure proper accounting and reporting
  • Develop and analyze standard reporting packages / dashboards for the finance and commercial management teams.
  • Create an in depth understanding of Marketing, Professional Affairs, MiSight and GSM program (sales & marketing) spend, helping the team understand the ROI of these strategic investments.
  • Provide ongoing value-added analysis / insight to key finance and commercial stakeholders, both during the period and at the close of the period.
  • Be an active business partner and work directly with managers and directors to proactively manage operating and capital expense budgets / forecasts.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, while challenging assumptions / resource allocation requests to make sure they are in the best interest of the business and within our financial guidelines.
  • Process large amounts of complex data and synthesize it into formats acceptable for executive consumption in order to facilitate the decision-making process.
  • Actively monitor FP&A controls and processes and make recommendations to improve efficiencies.
    Travel: 5% or less (domestic)

    What you will bring:

    Experience:

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) as well as general PC expertise.
  • Experience with ERP and Business Intelligence systems
  • Experience with Hyperion planning and reporting suite of products is a requirement
  • Experience with Oracle a plus
  • Ability to independently research, analyze and interpret data.
  • Extremely detailed oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills collaborating effectively with all levels
    Education:

    * Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting is required, MBA a plus.
